The City of Halifax, Nova Scotia recently passed a law on August 1, 2015 that would limit one black garbage bag per household. All other trash must be disposed of in clear trash bags. In passing this garbage collection rule, Halifax officials hoped to encourage people to sort their garbage and increase recycling.
